Dear Sir od Madam,

For irregular buildings and structures, the correct wind load application is often difficult. The new program RWIND Simulation helps you to find the right wind load application and to better evaluate wind loads. RWIND Simulation simulates wind flow with the aid of a digital wind tunnel. The determined wind loads can be imported into RFEM or RSTAB.

New Program
RWIND Simulation
for Wind Simulation
& Wind Load Generation

RWIND Simulation is a stand-alone program for the CFD simulation of wind flow around buildings or other objects. The generated wind loads that act on these objects can be imported into the structural analysis programs RFEM or RSTAB.

Differences in Determining Internal Forces of Downstand Beams

When performing control calculations and comparing the internal forces and the resulting required reinforcement of downstand beams, it might happen that large differences occur. Although the same load assumptions and spans are applied, some programs or the manual calculation display very different internal forces compared to the FEA model.
