Design Strip Consideration Acc. to ACI 318‑19 and CSA A23.3:19 in RFEM
Reinforced concrete surface design for slabs, plates, and walls is possible in the RF-CONCRETE Surfaces module according to the ACI 318-19 or the CSA A23.3-19 standard. A common approach for slab design is the use of design strips for determining the average one-way internal forces over the width of the strip.

Timber Column Design per the 2018 NDS Standard
Using the RF-TIMBER AWC module, timber column design is possible according to the 2018 NDS standard ASD method. Accurately calculating timber member compressive capacity and adjustment factors is important for safety considerations and design.

Wind Comfort in Pedestrian Areas and Around Buildings
Wind flow around a building results in different wind behavior when compared to wind flow over the undeveloped terrain. Depending on the wind and building properties, this wind behavior has an influence on the microclimate around the building and people in the surrounding area.
